Hello, I've recently been given an Acorn A5000, and would like to start learming how to program in BASIC. Can anyone recommend any good websites for tutorials, or perhaps some books? (Assuming that the books are still available!) Many Thanks, Chris

The Alligata version has not been reprinted for some time and I believe is no longer available. However the book was published in Volume 9 of RISC World and is included on the RISC World CDs and DVD or from the RISC World website. -- David Holden - APDL - <http://www.apdl.co.uk>

There's "Starting BASIC" by the late Ray Favre. These days it's published
by Abbey Press, and costs £16 for book, disc and P&P (with the proceeds
going to charity). See
http://www.rayfavre.me.uk/Book1.html
for details and the option of downloading a sample (in an unhelpful format).
