#6710 — DVI TeX for CM4

SubjectDVI TeX for CM4
Message-ID<53f921085d.jmb@jmc.bruck.orange.fr>
Hi,

With my ARMx6 I could write texts in LateX/TeX which were then displayed
by the !DVI application.
I use a CM4 (Hydra) and the software no longer works, this is due to the
difference in processors between the 2 machines.

Some instructions should no longer be used.

After a lot of trial and error I was able to modify the various modules
that are used by TeX and I can use it on the CM4.

I was able to test some /Tex files that I had and the files exported by
TechWriter are well interpreted.

This is just information, but if anyone is interested I can make the
executable for CM4/RPI4 available.

RPi4 not tested

Well done! I used to use TeX a lot, and had !DVI running on our Risc PC.

I'm not a big user anymore but I hope you get some interest.

Thanks.
If you want to try, I hope the package is complete...

I use TechWriter either.
Some time ago I was reviewing and found this site (in French)
eg.
https://www.mathraining.be/chapters/6/theories/27
In the HTML pages there is LateX, and as I was not yet using !Iris, I had
"fun" reconstructing the pages in TeX...
There is an example in the zip file.
Tex is a standard!

At the moment I am converting programs from ARMx6 to CM4
A program which I found useful and which works well !Swish, but which I
could no longer use.

Thanks for RiscOSM, works very well even in France :-)
Before its acquisition I had built a program which allowed me to display
/gpx files. The manipulation of coordinates interested me.
But your program does that very well by displaying the route on the
map...

I'll add them to my file upload page for those curious.
