Hi everyone,
Sorry to post to multiple groups, I am well aware it is bad etiquette,
but, since my transfer to full fibre I am having trouble posting to Usenet
and I am trying to find out if it it is universal or just certain groups
affected.
!netsurf also appears not to be able to connect to any site, It just
returns the error
"Couldn't resolve host name"

I would be astonished if it turned out to be group-specific.

Can you ping the same sites from the command line?
David

I transferred on Aug 25th (been away so not able to much since) Shortly after I made two posts. One to this group asking if anyone had a copy of the manual for !Serenade, the other to uk.religion.christian. The latter showed up on the group within a matter of minutes, the one to this group still hasn't appeared. I sent a further request regarding !serenade to this group about 15mins after I sent the message to which you have replied, and that still hasn't turned up either. I sent this message to several other acorn groups, hence the apology at it's start, but the only one to appear was this one Prior to the transfer everything was working fine > > !netsurf also appears not to be able to connect to any site, It just > > returns the error > > "Couldn't resolve host name" > Can you ping the same sites from the command line? Sorry, being a bear of little brain, I'm not sure what this means or how to do it. Incidentally, I have been in touch with Richard Brown and he asked me to check my networking setup. This is the current status. the computer I use for the internet these days is a Raspberry Pi 4 (Riscos Bits "Fourtress") so has not been around that long. I have checked the internet configuration, and this is what I see: Routing: Gateway 192.168.0.1 Act as IP router unticked Run RouteD unticked Routes file All lines begin with# Host name RISCOpi Local domain Blank Primary name server Blank Try name server to unticked Hosts file # in front of all lines except loopback 127.0.0.1 secondary name server Blank Tertiary name server Blank Resolver Acorn -- Stuart Winsor Tools With A Mission sending tools across the world http://www.twam.co.uk/
