I don't know if people use a filetype or not; StrongEd's ModeWhen files
contain various defintions of what files should be processed in a particular
mode.  For example, SE will pattern-match on portions of file or directory
names.

If you're using SE a lot and don't know this sort of thing you should
perhaps join the SE support mail list; subscribe to that by sending an email
to:

  StrongED+subscribe@Torrens.org.uk
