I've found a few problems users may need to be aware of when using the superb IcnClpBrd, V0.15 on the Beagleboard If you use Alt-select-click over any filename text to select and edit it then..... (1) Filer crashes when CTRL-S is used to change case on filename text. (2) Filer crashes when CTRL-D is used to de-DOSify filename text. The final one is minor....... (3) CTRL-C copies the existing text to the clipboard and then closes editing window on filename text first time. Subsequent editing leaves editing window open forcing the user to press Return key to close it. (1) and (2) require a re-boot. This is with AE...ON. Works correctly if AE is OFF. With (3) AE can be ON or OFF. RISC OS ROM 5.19 -- Richard Ashbery Wakefield 2012 - Saturday 28th April http://www.wakefieldshow.org.uk

Doesn't surprise me too much.
You'll have reported these to the maintainer so that they can be
investigated and/or fixed, I presume?

I can't reproduce (1), but I can definitely see (2) happen. Given that they
both used the same unaligned STRs and LDRs, I've applied the same fixes to
both blocks of code and built 0.16 from that.
http://www.stevefryatt.org.uk/software/clipboard/
I've had a cursory look through the rest of the code, and couldn't spot
anything else. That doesn't mean there isn't anything, however -- if anyone
finds anything else that seems wrong, *let* *me* *know* and I can fix it.

...until IcnClipBrd loses ownership of the clipboard, and has to reclaim it
again on a Ctrl-C.
I'm going to blame the Filer here, as you can see exactly the same effect if
you persuade something else (eg. StrongED, which I've just tested it with)
to broadcast a Message_ClaimEntity while editing a file name. That is, this
isn't limited to IcnClipBrd (and it also happens on RISC OS 5.16).
