Research Associate - Molecular Biology

Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline * 1+ years of relevant industry experience * Hands-on molecular biology/cloning expertise * Expertise in mammalian protein expression - preferably HEK293 and CHO * Working knowledge of protein expression systems * Enzymology, protein engineering, and/or tumor biology experience a plus * Protein analytics and/or mAb experience a plus

Primary Responsibilities of the Position: * Design & assembly of expression constructs * Expression of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells * Contribute scientifically to the design of engineered proteins * Organization/documentation of methods and results

The ideal candidate will have: * A track record of generating reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision, yet understand when to seek input and when to make independent judgments * Proven creativity, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills * Self-motivation to understand the principals of protein engineering * Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, flexible and collaborative team environment
