Is there a character in Mathematica that plays the role of the bar one usually puts after derivatives to indicate the point at which the derivative is taken? That is, some sort of stretchable vertical bar (but not the vertical bar that serve function as parenthesis and are paired in two's) Thanks.

There is ESC vbar ESC but unfortunately adding a subscript seems to
break the stretching ...

Some other similar characters are linked from that help page.

I was familiar with the [Esc] vbar [Esc] character. But as you say, when you
put a subscript it doesn't stretch any more. Anyone knows an alternative?
Thanks.
