Hi all, I'm a new Mac user on OS X Snow Leopard version, and a "re-new" user of Mathematica 8 (meaning I played around with version 7 briefly about a year ago). I was trying to Command+C copy and then paste a simple graphic generated using the Plot command into MS Word for Mac, but what I get upon pasting is a bunch of Mathematica code instead of the bitmap that I was hoping to see. Is this what I ought to expect? Is there any way to "fix" this issue? Or is it necessary to first export my graphic explicitly to some image format and then insert that image into MS Word? Thanks in advance...

Thanks to those who replied. Actually I'm somewhat guilty of not specifying my problem precisely... my main requirement is not to copy into Word (or a normal text editor app) but rather into a Wordpress blog post. So actually I would rather have a solution that allows me to quickly copy+paste a JPG, PNG or GIF image into my post (being edited using an online rich text editor - TinyMCE - which generates the required html), rather than have to convert first. Some people suggested using Edit > Copy As > PDF in Mathematica, which works for Word, although I have to use Paste Special instead of just Paste in Word. However this is not a viable option for embedding an image into HTML.
