Works in version 6.0

In[1]:= Sum[1/(n (1 + n)) 1/((1 - x)^4), {n, 1, M}]
$Version

Out[1]= M/((1 + M) (1 - x)^4)

Out[2]= "6.0 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit) (June 19, 2007)"
