I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but does this solve your problem?

n = 3;
(Total[#] &) /@ Subsets[Table[w[k], {k, n}]]

{0, w[1], w[2], w[3], w[1] + w[2], w[1] + w[3], w[2] + w[3], 
 w[1] + w[2] + w[3]}
