The "danger" is that some short-sighted bigoted half-wit will stop programmers getting into the USA to do their jobs, and thus companies like Google won't be able to get the best employees to do the work. But feel free to panic if you want - you can run around spouting whatever daft thoughts come into the empty space between your ears. It's not likely to make your posts any less rational.

I hadn't heard that. If and only if Muslim minds were proven dangerous and offensive, then whatever programs they wrote and distributed were also dangerous. I think Mr. Trump needed to ditch all their stuff ASAP inside US soil, if and only if he meant serious business against Muslims. :) -- @~@ Remain silent! Drink, Blink, Stretch! Definitely someone important and close to Google that requested this feature.... same rule with Micro$oft Window$ and Apple IOS. Do I need Cortana and VR? Definitely no. :) -- @~@ Remain silent! You seem to assume the best programmers are not in the USA. If your assumption is valid, are you willing to cede yet another industry to "foreigners?" Why do you think US education isn't turning out first-class programmers? If it isn't, do you favor a permanent condition where the best programmers are not in the USA? >But feel free to panic if you want - you can run around spouting >whatever daft thoughts come into the empty space between your ears. >It's not likely to make your posts any less rational.

Programming is just language translation. There is no magic about it. To solve problems, you need to figure out algorithms first, before they are translated into computer instructions. Algorithms are the key, not programmers. -- @~@ Remain silent! Drink, Blink, Stretch! You're an idiot. Unless you're porting a program from one language to another, you aren't really doing much language translation when you write software, unless you're using a very very broad brush to claim that the act of writing a program to have the computer perform a specific task is simply a matter of translating our language to it's own? Quite a stretch if that's what your thinking. Incidently, programmers tend to write a lot of algorithms in the process of developing whatever application their writing. -- Sarcasm, because beating the living shit out of deserving people is illegal.

But the way each programming language define an English word is different from each others, not to mention the parameters. > Incidently, programmers tend to write a lot of algorithms > in the process of developing whatever application their > writing. True for business applications. I don't know the education of programmers you knew, but not all of them are good in mathematics. :) -- @~@ Remain silent! Drink, Blink, Stretch!
