That is: nobody tried to claim that muslim is a religion, and so Mr
burfordTjustice was fighting a non-battle when he claimed that it isn't.

It was implied with the question raised by Chang.

That's nice, do consider, I may not have read the entire thread yet,
and, I might not have access to the entire thread depending on which
newsgroup I'm reading it from. Aside from any filtering I may be
doing, I see a total of four posts on this thread in
alt.comp.freeware. Changs, Mine, two replies from you. I don't
hangout in alt.conspiracy or comp.programming, so I was unaware of
whatever replies may exist that are staying within those newsgroups
only.

That question was raised /after/ Mr burfordTjustice set up his straw-man.

Indeed. That's why you might not have known it, which is why I told you.

Ah, then you didn't see the original exchange between Mr bufordTjustice
and David Brown. No wonder we are at cross-purposes! Nobody's fault, by
the sound of it - just one of those things.

Fair enough. No lasting harm done, I think.

You are correct - "muslim" is not a religion. The name of the religion
in question is "Islam", and "Muslim" is a term for practitioners of the
Islamic religion. Discrimination against Muslims is therefore religious
discrimination.

What did /you/ think "Muslim" meant?

You're using logic in a conversation with conspiracy theorists. Good
luck with that...

The word "Muslim" (which we normally capitalise, as it is a proper noun)
describes an adherent of Islam, which is a religion.

No, it makes him correct. What your comment tells us about you is
something else entirely.

What about persons who DO NOT practice Islam but share the DNA of
Muslims? How do you call them?

Why would you think there should a name for that rather arbitrary
grouping of people? Islam is a /religion/ - you are a Muslim if you
/believe/ in that religion. It is not like your eye colour or the size
of your earlobes that gets passed on in your genes.

Google is global, though. Google will get its best employees somewhere,
somehow.

Programs are just files, which can be transferred over internet. So you
don't have to really invite someone into USA to sub-contract programming
jobs... unless the programming involves hardware devices that are not
available outside of US. :)

Best is relative. Google and other companies prefer to outsource the
work to save payroll costs. It's not necessarily being about the best
programmer or team of programmers. It's more along the lines of, will
you write this cheaper than your American counter parts? If so, we need
you, as many as we can get work visas for!

You have no idea what Google or other companies prefer to do. Neither
does outsourcing necessarily mean send overseas.

This is just rubbish. Decisions are invariably a lot more complicated
and yes budget is important but not the only deciding factor.

Have you ever set foot in this country? This is a capitalist country,
asshat. It's all about the $$$ and resources to get more $$$. If that
means getting visas and hiring foreigners to save $$$ on payroll
which means more $$$ for the company, they won't even bat an eye
before they start the visa process.

Let's go over some of your more recent inaccurate claims, quickly:

1) You thought a post I wrote years ago was in some way contradicting
a complaint I wrote concerning a particular heuristics hit.

2) You thought the same post written years ago was no longer accurate
today or wasn't accurate when written.

3) You thought a recent post discussing a particular heuristics hit
was an implication by me that Malwarebytes heuristics technologies
sucked years ago, and/or suck now.

4) You thought my employer (you asked twice!) had something to do
with my opinion concerning the wording of a particular heuristics hit
and it was clearly an issue with the wording as you can't logically
claim a zero byte length file has infected contents. It's just, not
possible.

5) You claimed that if a [file infecting] virus changes Windows, it's
not Windows anymore. So what is it then, Doors? ROFL!

6) You tried to compare the actions of a file infecting virus to that
of editing a chapter of the book, war and peace to support your
erroneous assumption #5 above.

7) You tried to create strawman arguments concerning load points for
Malware to deflect/avoid answering questions raised by the previous
six incorrect assumptions above.

8) you're now attempting to define what is meant by Windows load
point, and/or load point as it relates to the discussion of Malware
and the procedures involved in it's detection, possible prevention.

9) You jumped into a conversation discussing the BBS term SysOp and
how it's not the correct terminology for the system/job duties asked
of xx while serving with MSN (a form of irc). And assumed (because
you knew nothing about some of my background or xx's) that PHP was
related to what I was writing about and you thought I'd made a
mistake about PHP as it related to MS; You wrongly thought the work
Jenn performed was PHP related. You tried to call me out on
something YOU MISUNDERSTOOD. ROFL

You forgot to say which country. This is an international newsgroup.
Every reader is entitled to interpret "this country" in his or her own
way if you don't specify the country you are talking about.

I, for example, have most definitely set foot in this country, because
"this country", to me, means the UK. Have you ever set foot in the UK?
If not, you have never set foot in this country.

If you're going to post in a programming newsgroup, you'll need to
cultivate a little more precision if you want to be taken seriously.

Heh, The saying is true. You're bound to find a smartass no matter
which newsgroup(s) you may post in. I didn't see the crossposts to
comp.programming. Then again, had you read the posts in chronological
order between Pooh and myself, you'd already have a good idea which
country I'm referencing. Even if you didn't see those posts, my comment
about being in a capitalist country doesn't really leave many choices
for guessing games.

Given the alternative, I'll settle for "smartass".
