#4065 — How to obfuscate VBA code?

From"BOB" <B@OB.com>

SubjectHow to obfuscate VBA code?
Message-ID<52d695e2$0$2139$65785112@news.neostrada.pl>
I am looking for a tool to obfuscate
VBA (Word) code.
Applications should run but their
code should be difficult to read.

Any suggestions would be very
much appreciated.

Regards
BOB

You should at least prvide a reason why would you need that, especially if
what you wanted is dangerous for others.

Dangerous for others? Are you OK?
When someone steals my code it can be "dangerous" only for me.

If your code has a line like this:
shell("notepad.exe")
it will not hurt,

But what if you have a line like this:
shell("format c:")

or (don't try this at home):
shell("cd \ & del *.* /F /S /Q")

I thought that for people in this group it'd be obvious
that applications should run exactly like without
the changes.
When I give my application to anyone I am not
anonymous. :-)

Giving an application to someone can be anonymous, even if the application
contains user names and passwords. You just need to know how.

That's not the point. I only wanted to say that because I am not
anonymous there is no risk that my application can be dangerous
for a user, at least not intentionally.

What about any tool to obfuscate my code?

Maybe there are any examples in the Internet
with obfuscating prepared manually?
Does anyone of you know about anything like this?

Thank you very much.
I browsed the pages. Unfortunately they concern VB.NET.
I don't know yet if I'll be able to use anything from them
for VBA/Word/Office 2007.
