Please suggest a forum (NNTP or otherwise) for apache thrift. Is it possible to have similiar capability in thrift to following capability in fxn(int id, void *v) where we can process data pointed by v based on id. Thrift may not have pointers. In java I would get all candidate structs for v to be subclass of BASE and using object of BASE while passing arg to function. thrift do not have inheritance. I do not know much about thrift. I want to explore it if above is possible. - Surinder
