Unable to read the cmd header on the left child context, other MPI
error , error stack:
Read failed (1298): an existing connection was forcibly closed by the
remote host. (errorno 10054)
Aborting: mpiexec on pc failed to communicate with smpd on pc. Other

That is not a problem with C++, but a problem with the program.

We can't help fix a program we can't see. This is not
comp.programming.psychics.

Actually, it looks more like a network problem, or a problem with your
remote software. Either way, you're either asking the wrong question or
asking the question wrong.

The OP *might* try asking the question again in comp.parallel.mpi --
"mpiexec" in the error message makes me think this is an MPI-based
program, and while comp.parallel.mpi isn't very active, someone
there might have some useful thoughts to share about what the error
messages mean.

This smells suspiciously like a Windows Sockets error code.

WSAECONNRESET10054
Connection reset by peer.
An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. This
normally results if the peer application on the remote host is
suddenly stopped, the host is rebooted, the host or remote network
interface is disabled, or the remote host uses a hard close (see
setsockopt for more information on the SO_LINGER option on the remote
socket). This error may also result if a connection was broken due to
keep-alive activity detecting a failure while one or more operations
are in progress. Operations that were in progress fail with
WSAENETRESET. Subsequent operations fail with WSAECONNRESET.
