In computer industry, large companies with waterfall hierarchy structure are the most successible. Waterfall hierarchy has benefits from the aspect of work efficiency, but it seems somehow that rewards for the work being done are unfairly distributed.
Can we have work efficiency of waterfall hierarchy based company with benefits of democratic equality between employees? If we can, let's build a democraticly ruled programmers' company that funds itself exclusively from donations.

Go for it. Cooperatives have existed for about 5 centuries or so. If you
believe that a software development cooperative is a good idea then go on
and invest your money and look for any prospective clients.
