That's two topics: the internet and the world wide web.  There used to 
bee a BBC journalist who presented the premier morning news and current 
affairs programme.  His name was John Humphrys and he never got the 
internet/world wide web distinction.  He never got the silicon/silicone 
distinction either.  But he was an idiot.  What's your excuse?
