Hello,

I have just finished to port my Parallel archiver to Delphi XE-XE6,
there is two files to download , one file called parchiver.zip and
this is for Delphi7 to Delphi 2007 and for FreePascal, and
there is another file to download called parchiver_xe.zip , this one is
for Delphi XE to XE6.

You can download Parallel archiver from:

https://sites.google.com/site/aminer68/parallel-archiver

And of course it's a freeware...

So be happy with my Parallel archiver cause it's very fast !

Thank you,
Amine Moulay Ramdane.

I don't see compatibility notes to answer the question: what other archivers
can extract the archives produced by this program, and vice versa?

The fastest archiver is the one that most users already have installed.

CPU cycles will never recover the time wasted by users who receive an archive
in some obscure format for which they have to hunt down and install a Windows
executable.

(Or worse, have to get a Windows box or virtual machine for that. Which
brings us to the point that all the good archivers out have the important
virtue that they are cross-platform.)

You don't understand, my Parallel archiver works only on Win32 and Win64
but my Parallel archiver don't look like the other archivers, cause
you can use it as a Hashtable from the Hardisk with O(1) very fast
access and i think that's useful, the other archivers can not do that,
also if you have a database on Win32 or Win64 that you want to backup it
is useful also for that, or if you want to backup your files on the
Windows systems it is still useful , but i have not designed it to
compete on the cross-platform criteria with other archivers like 7Zip.

Hope you have understood.

Thank you,
Amine Moulay Ramadne.

Then you should post to a windows newsgroup instead of incessantly (and
obnoxiously) posting to general programming groups.

And to diminish further your class of potential users, as well as only
being targetted at windows, it uses a particular dialect of pascal that
probably less then a dozen people in the entire world have installed on
their systems. Who do you think is actually interested in all this
stuff?

Hope you understand.

Chris

Hello,

Object pascal is still active and well...

Look at Delphi XE here:

https://forums.embarcadero.com/category.jspa?categoryID=12

And look at Lazarus here:

Thank you,

Hello,

And look at this:

The new Delphi XE6 that supports Object pascal.

http://www.embarcadero.com/products/delphi

And look at this Lazarus and Freepascal that support Object pascal:

http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?PHPSESSID=8fda48ebeec543d6949ae0014394a0c8&action=forum

Object pascal is still active and well.

Thank you,
Amine Moulay Ramdane.

Hello,

And look at my post called "ANN: Parallel archiver for Delphi XE-XE6"
notice that it was viewed by 380 persons , look here:

https://forums.embarcadero.com/category.jspa?categoryID=16

That means that Object pascal is still active and well.

Thank you,
Amine Moulay Ramdane.
