Job Title:
Post Doctoral Research Associate

Position Responsibilities:
The Scientific Computation Research Center (www.scorec.rpi.edu) is 
seeking a highly qualified post-doctoral research associate to develop 
advanced solution methods for adaptive unstructured mesh methods on 
massively parallel computers.

The successful candidate will develop and implement parallel multilevel 
equation solution techniques that work effectively with adapted 
unstructured meshes.  The successful candidate must be able to interact 
with faculty and students from various departments that will be 
associated with the development of specific complex applications. The 
successful candidate will also be required to interact with sponsors.

Qualifications:
* PhD in Computer/Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, 
or related engineering or science discipline
* Expertise in parallel methods for the solution of large sparse systems 
of algebraic equations.
* Experience in parallel programming
* Strong knowledge of C++ programming languages and UNIX operating 
system is required
* Experience with modern software engineering tools (such as version 
control)
