A low power comsumption linux station, provided by a 'solid state' memory?

thank you

I've run one OK on a Sheeva plug. You can probably get a Raspberry Pi to run
one quite happily. However, you need to pay attention to the care and
feeding of the SD card in either of those, too many writes will kill the
card so you need some sort of RAM disk to eat up any frequent writes that
might occur. If you want a small machine with a real SSD fitted then check
out the eBox range for something, although note that their cheap boxes are
486 or 586 compatible and won't run many standard distros that now expect
the 686 chipset.

What kind -- static content or dynamic? Lots of traffic or almost
none?

> A low power comsumption linux station,

Since you're asking on a Linux newsgroup: yes.

Do the maths yourself. I'm not sure the power cost makes that much of
a difference. Compare with a used laptop, which you may be able to
get almost for free.

Please don't multi-post. You've now got (at least) two completely
separate threads running: one here, one under comp.os.linux.hardware,
and one for each of the other groups you posted into.
