Churchill said of America that it can 'always be relied upon to do the
right thing - after exhausting every other alternative'.

I think this is a universal truth. Obama Biden and Trump are the price
we have had to pay to let this process play out.

Its no different in the UK. Except we have four, maybe five potentially
viable parties.

Gee ... what MAJOR "TDS" !

Wondering ... SUCH an investment in Trump ...
what happens in a couple years when he's
out of the race ? The whole massive TDS
equation just COLLAPSES. The cult of anti-Trump
   cannot survive WITHOUT Trump.

   Should be fun.

The conflict is real, the issues are carefully manufactured

ROFLMAO.

It was at least 20 years ago that a naturalist (David Bellamy) who was
sceptical about man made climate change vanished from the TV to be
replaced by the on message David Attenborough.

DR Kelly, who blew the whistle on WMD in Iraq (No, not really)
'committed suicide'.

Salman Rushdie is blind in one eye for writing a book about some verses
in the Q'ran

Ann Widdecombe was murdered a few weeks ago a strong voice on the
conservative right.

Charlie Kirk - again right wing - was murdered for his rhetoric.

Edwina Curry, a minister in Thatchers government, was sacked for saying
'all chickens have salmonella'. She lost her job.

Professor David Nutt said taking ecstasy was no worse than the risks of
"equasy", a term he invented to describe people's addiction to
horse-riding. He lost his job

I can assure you that people in positions of some influence had better
toe the line or they will be fired, blackballed or in extreme cases die
in mysterious cirmcunstances.

The biggest threat to humanity comes from socialism, which has utterly
diverted our attention away from what really matters to our existential
survival, to indulging in navel gazing and faux moral investigations
into what the world ought to be, whilst we fail utterly to deal with
what it actually is.

Some people felt Kirk was eliminated when he started to re-evaluate
Zionism. Of course, those people are pilloried, with many new laws being
introduced about that sort of stinking thinking.

Freud did his damage but it was really his nephew that was dangerous.

Bernays spent much of his time selling refrigerators to Eskimos but
Lippmann, who may have mentored him to some extent was the real deal.

A guy wrote about the 'Big Lie' in his book and it's interpreted that he

Well, STILL good - and likely to remain so.

BUT, if actual THREAT ... temporary work-arounds
   ARE sometimes needed.

"Ideal/ideological" is mostly great, but REALITY
sometimes intrudes. "Liberal" FDR shut down a
LOT of enemy propaganda in the 40s because it
   NEEDED to be done.

If Trump wants to CRUSH the neo-commies, well, I

Its rather like the case with Islam today.
No one wants to persecute peoples religious beliefs, but when those
beliefs dictate that they should carry out acts of treason and violence,
one has to pause and consider.

A University acquaintance tried to 'recruit me to the cause' , He told
me exactly what the grand Communist plan was. It was to infiltrate and
subvert every single public sector organisation. Universities, schools,
local councils, the Labour party, newspapers, the BBC, The performing
arts - especially Hollywood, the trade Unions. And of course the EU.

Later on I saw the demise of the Green party and Greenpeace to hard left
infiltration. People I know in Equity - the actors union - are appalled
that their subscription goes into hard left political organisations.

Their watermark is on everything. LBGTQ, Right to Life, Critical Race
Theory, Just Stop [whatever is fashionable today]

They are quite fanatics driven by the conviction not that they are
second rate and not that smart, but that they are oppressed by the
system, and the system has to go, so they can take over.

The mess they make when they do is beyond belief.

I met Foreman in '88 as the organization took its hard left turn. He
enjoyed taunting the lefties but they won and he left the organization.
The godfather of the organization, Ed Abbey, also held views the new breed
abhorred.

Somebody observed that without vigorous pruning organizations drift left.

Its not a drift, its a conscious deliberate planned infiltration.
The Left regard these organisations as targets. They join, the agitate,
they get elected where no one else can be arsed, then they start
employing chums . Anywhere there is a mountain of someone else's money
to divert to political ends, they go.

And everyone else is too scared to stand up to them

Google 'Jason Arday' for the symbol of the times.

Internet shadow banning is nothing new.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hollywood_blacklist#Hollywood_Ten

It was a travesty. Budd Schulberg was a CPUSA member in the '30s and
recruited Ring Lardner and others. Schulberg was a friendly witness and
skated. Lardner refused to answer and was cited for contempt.

Pete Seeger had been on the FBI's shit list since the '40s when he wrote a
letter protesting the treatment of Japanese-Americans in California. His
fiance was half Japanese, born in Munich to an American mother, and an
American citizen.

Like the others he refused to answer without taking the Fifth and was
cited for contempt. He was then blacklisted for years. In his case he was
a 'fellow traveler' and not a card carrying CPUSA member.

There was a lot of settling of old scores. Harry Dexter White and
Whittaker Chambers offered up Alger Hiss as a scapegoat. Even Hiss was
convicted of perjury since anything he may have done in the '30s was past
its sale date.

HUAC was the usual bunch of grandstanding politicians that had very little
success in finding anyone guilty of anything than contempt for them.
