As such, the traditional mounting schemes fronted by SL and even Amazon parts suppliers are NOT good at all. 90% of the USA, just fine, but not HERE. The SL antennas are perfect 'airfoils' ... seem designed to take flight. Only ONE place along my house where I can put in an anchored post and holder frame. Gotta figure the easiest way to tilt the antenna just right and skew it to a non-cardinal direction. 2.5" galv-steel plumbing/electrical pipe should serve as the post. May want to put a little concrete into the hole, then a couple of v-supports screwed to the wall. The 'holder', aluminum angle with some hard rubber retainers screwed in at the corners. Gotta attach that, rotatable, lockable, to the post. Not SUPER difficult, but still a bit complex. Do not see ANYTHING like it for sale online. Trick, gotta be able to detach the entire antenna assembly fast if a bad storm is approaching. It DID work out near my doorstep yesterday, speed peaking at about 200mbps, 150 typical. Next problem, access to the router settings. May or may not have the correct app on my iPad. Used the antenna-orientation one yesterday but no way to access the router. Seems the wifi comes with the name STARLINK and NO kind of security code. That's an open invitation to the neighbors and whatever crimes they are doing. Admittedly, I bought this as a 'backup' to my ATT system. It IS faster, but really I don't need faster. I need to be able to do online billing/banking in case of disaster. The No-Towers paradigm IS best. By Woden I do hate iPads/iOS ... what stoners thought that up ??? Gimme Win98/XP menus and an "X" at the corner to shut down the app ! Had to SEARCH just to find out how to turn off the damned iPad.

Then put them under an RF transparent cover.
Like a 'radome'

Not if they are under a 'radome'

Used the antenna-orientation one c> yesterday but no way to access the router. Doesn't the SL router have LAN ports? The one I used some time ago did. If it does, attach a laptop. After it gets an IP/gateway from the router's DHCP server, try connecting to the gateway IP in your browser. You might get to the router's configuration menu. Sorry that I can't be more specific, it's been a few months since I did it and I no longer have access to SL equipment to test it.

Its intersting. Here is data for the user end of a Starlink
Ku-band (User Links):
Downlink (Satellite to Dish): 10.7–12.7 GHz
Uplink (Dish to Satellite): 14.0–14.5 GHz
Further investigation shows that plexiglass is fairly suitable and also
a kevlar epoxy composite

You used them all in defending against a bunch of towel heads with portable missile launchers on the back of Toyota pickup trucks, down in the straits of Hormuz. All because Donny wanted to increase the price of gas to ensure better profits in his oil portfolio. Ah well, mysteriously, after the Russian attack, Starlink has returned to normal... -- Any fool can believe in principles - and most of them do!

Will attempt "self installation". Do not have a 'smart'phone to run any 'apps' though. With luck the router will come up and I can find it and log in that way. >> Anyway, WILL report here.
