#5730 — FAIL: Map of Linux directories to Win PCs after upgrade to CentOS 6.3

Very recently I upgraded my CentOS 5.8 machine to 6.3.
Complete install; wiped the disk.

Previously in 5.8, I had mapped directories from the Centos
machine to Windows PC's as network drives.
This arrangement worked very well in 5.8.

Now, however, in 6.3, the mapping of the drives fails
on all the Windows machines.  Initially I received
network messages (machine name not found, etc).
Now I'm getting "password incorrect".

So the obvious question:
Why did the mapping of the network drives work flawlessly
in 5.8 but not at all in 6.3?  Did something change from
5.8 to 6.3?  Or am I missing something obvious?
