Hi Folks. I've seen these USB drives on eBay that claim to have 8 to 30 flavours of bootable linux versons on them. Here's one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Multi-boot-USB-Flash-Drive-Bootable-Ubuntu-Linux-Mint-Puppy-Linux-Slax-/330863357703?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d08fe2f07 They all seem well and good, buy my paranoid side wonders if they could be "infected" in some way and be letting myself in for trouble. So the question: Is there any risk to trying one of these things or should I not touch one with the proverbial ten-foot pole? Pureheart Currently Mint 10 w/ Mint 15 Cinnamon sitting on the shelf waiting to install but not wanting to have to go through all the customizing again. Anyway......

If your that paranoid....make them yourself using MultiSystem LiveCD(USB). "Create your MultiBoot LiveUSB simply with MultiSystem. Just Drag & Drop your .iso on a window and that's it! MultiSystem enables a LiveUSB to do everything, ideal for exploring different Linux distributions without installing them on your PC, easily !" I posted pic of MultiSystem webpage translated to English here for quick read: http://postimg.org/image/5zuuyldd5/ Here is the link to the actual wegpage: (In French) http://lea-linux.org/documentations/MultiSystem-LiveUSB-MultiBoot Download MultiSystem here: (hint-> ms_lts_precise_r9.iso) http://en.sourceforge.jp/projects/sfnet_multisystem/ Or use MultiBootUSB found here: http://multibootusb.org/ Download from here: http://multibootusb.org/download/ Or use this script found here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InstallAndBootMultipleLinuxFromPendriveFlashDriveUSBDisk

Thanks for the replies. I used to think that I was about a '2' on the 1 to 10 scale of linux knowledge with you guys being all the 8+'s. Now I realize I'm probably not even a '1'. Maybe I should start hanging out at the local Linux User's Group since I learn best by watching it done once than by reading man pages and hoping I don't do something irreversible to my system. Going to go check out geezblog now..... pH
