Dear Human!

The lecturer says at the beginning of the video, "I am talking to
you as a human; it does not matter whether you are Christian, Jew,
Buddhist or Hindu. It does not matter whether you are a worshipper of
idols, atheist, religious, secularist, a man or woman. I talk and
address you as a human. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself one
day the reason why you believe in what you believe in? Have you ever
thought about
the reason for which you chose the religion you practice?"

Have you ever asked yourself what religion those responsible for
these acts are practicing?

27 killed, 51 wounded in Baghdad cafe bombing

  BAGHDAD | Thursday, April 18th, 2013

At least 27 people were killed and 51 others wounded on Thursday evening
when a bomb struck a cafe in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, police said.

The bombing attack took place at about 9:30 p.m. local time ( 1830 GMT)
in Al Ameriyah neighborhood in west Baghdad, with *children and women*
among those killed, a police source told Xinhua.

The cafe was located inside a small shopping building, which also contains
clothes shops, Internet cafes and restaurants.

  BAGHDAD | Friday April 19th, 2013 12:28pm EDT

Mortar rounds hit an Iraqi *Sunni* Muslim mosque and a bomb exploded
in a *Shi'ite* mosque on Friday in attacks that killed eight.

  ...

In the worst attack on Friday, police said several mortar rounds landed outside
a Sunni Muslim mosque in a village near Khalis town during prayers, killing seven
people and wounding a dozen more, police said.

A bomb placed inside a Shi'ite mosque in Kirkuk, 170 km (100 miles) north of the
capital, also killed one and wounded 12 more just as worshippers were leaving,
  officials said.

"It appears the bomb was hidden there before prayer time and when the
worshippers were leaving, it exploded," said sheikh Raad al-Sakhri,
the preacher of mosque and a representative of anti-U.S. cleric Moqtada al-Sadr.

Have you ever thought that I wouldn't see it at all if you didn't
  repost it?

Except he didn't repost the spam, he countered it.

What's the point in countering a spammer in a technical newsgroup?

Because there used to be an element of spam where regular readers would
post off topic, and replying means you may deter future posters who think
posting about movies is okay in the newsgroup (because they've seen "the
regulars" do it?)

It doesn't do a thing for most spam these days, the people are just
posting and running.

And I am torn, because I have a good newsfeed, and so much of the spam
that people complain about is never there. So when someone replies, or
does the odious google groups thing of posting a blank message with the
subject header changed to "spam" (which may work at google, but doesn't
here in the real world), the spam is often not here. So the repliers
become as obnoxious as the spam. That doesn't mean I don't see some
spam, but people using google often see more of it than I do, and seem
more likely to react.

   Michael
