Hello, john@wexfordpress.com a écrit : > My computer seems to bog down on certain apps like scribus, swriter etc. Yet when > I check "top" the app in question is using 100% of the cpu. In fact I have three cpus. Is it possible that only one is being used? If so, how do I fix this? > Slackware 14.1. Check that /proc/cpuinfo lists the three CPUs. Otherwise, check that multiprocessing (SMP) is enabled in the BIOS and the kernel config. However if the busy task is monothread, more CPUs won't help.
