The floods in Thailand are indeed having a major impact on the supply of hard disk production, but only 25% of the world's hard disks are manufactured in Thailand (primarily Western Digital and Toshiba brands), located in the flooded area.

Hmm, I thought Thailand's flood made prices for HDDs go up due to
shortages.
