I'm considering buying one. The fax and copy need no connection, but the printer part does. I've had good luck with brother b/w laser printers, my ancient hl1440 still works like outta da box and it's OLD! How old? So old CUPS now auto detects/configs it!! Now the 2840 has a CUPS driver, but it's in a deb or rpm file and I'm gonna hafta extract the key files for Slackware. Anyone played this game? Any advice? Thnx. http://tinyurl.com/k65etbr nb
