Rather than edit the configuration file, I think I would rather install 
the proprietary driver from NVidia.

Go to this page http://www.geforce.com/drivers

(I'm using the manual search function there)

and select whether you are doing 32 or 64 bit

It shows me this page http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/47533
