I use a Logitech Track Ball Marble +, and I never had a problem with it. Works out of the box, no configuration needed. Generally, all mice simply work in Linux. Maybe if they have fancy features, like extra buttons there may be a problem. There may be differences, however, when comparing with the Windows driver, specially for touchpads. -- Cheers, Carlos.
