This is a message for the bigots. Naturally, the response will be "if you don't tolerate my bigotry, you are intolerant too!" Which is absurd. There is no moral compunction to tolerate bigotry, just as there is no moral compunction to tolerate extremism. Additionally, stereotyping and bigotry are outside the realm of logic and reason: http://infidels.org/library/modern/mathew/logic.html#generalization Of course, you are free to conduct your discussions without logic and reason -- just don't expect anyone to take what you say seriously. -- -v Kernel:4.1.5-sd Desktop:Xfce 4.12.2 Distro:Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela

The problem with the New Testament is that it incorporates a lot of people who should never have had any kind of influence. If they're not Mark, John, Paul and Matthew, they should be ignored because they were only added by the Roman Catholic church which had sought to merge the existing Pagan beliefs with the Christian ones. Those passages should have been rejected long ago and if the Vatican supports them in any way, it gives you a good idea of what kind of group we're dealing with. -- Charmed Tuna

The problem with the Qu'ran is that is that is started off as inspired by the holy books which already existed at the time. The first few chapters are therefore slightly sweeter versions of what you'd see in the Holy Bible or the Torah simply because Muhammad and his pedophile friends wanted to attract as many people as possible by showing them something familiar. Once they had the numbers, the chapters changed significantly and beheading, enslaving and raping became acceptable. It's clear that it wasn't meant to be a religion as much as a way of making intolerable behaviour legal. Besides, what potential follower in that part of the world will say no to having underage sex slaves? There's a reason their numbers swelled so much. However, I have neither desire nor obligation to respect Islam and I won't. -- Charmed Tuna

I do think it is troublesome looking at what Muslims tend to support compared to what Christians do - hard to defend Islam with that. Yeah, and I'll explain it. He was poor as dirt but managed to attract a rich, older woman. They lived peacefully and she didn't seem too bothered by the fact that he was epileptic. He, on the other hand, got bored with the idea of having sex with such an old bag. He therefore used his many seizures to get himself what he wanted. Since epilepsy wasn't common and people didn't know what it was, Muhammad convinced anyone stupid enough to believe him that each of these seizures was him communicating with God. After each one, he'd claim that God wanted people to have small things. Each seizure brought greater demands where slavery, killing a man and marrying his wife, enslaving small girls and raping them became commonplace. After all, that's what God wanted. You can support such a religion all that you want but I don't. >> It's clear that it wasn't meant to be a religion as much as a way of >> making intolerable behaviour legal.
