The Linux user does not have that level of choice which is why Linux users start talking of vi, emacs and so forth as if they are viable, attractive alternatives to a true word processing program.

MELPA works really well for a package manager. Lots of core components have been reworked. Once instnce of the daemon and Im connect to email via gnus, irc via erc, even twitter via twittering-mode. flyspell, flycheck are superb. If you've never used a real modern debugger you wouldn't know. If you seriously don't know this then google. God forbid we have some turd now repeating the 70s mantra about how you do it right then you don't need a debugger. A debugger with HW breaks and watches is a HUGE advantage when developing and familiarisation with a large code base. -- chrisv alias turdv is a turd

Why does Flooder Steve Carroll focus on Jonas Eklundh's ego so much? Now that nobody is talking to Flooder Steve Carroll, he's making it sound like he's achieved some great victory -- when in fact, people are just sick of his shit. This is clearly a hobby of Flooder Steve Carroll's. Flooder Steve Carroll is regularly seen insisting "GOOGLE HAS NOTHING" when it comes to details on Jonas Eklundh's post where it is written with other words... but Flooder Steve Carroll is just too dozy or lazy to deduce any advice he reads. - Puppy Videos!! http://www.5z8.info/how-to-build-a-bomb_h2o1be_peepshow https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.sys.mac.system/6m_7Z7rQ6Hg http://jeff-relf.me/Cola_Regs.HTM Jonas Eklundh Communication

There are also several GUI wrappers for gdb if you need that sort of thing. You still haven't said what is wrong exactly you think is wrong with gdb. Last few versions of macOS have some bugs with their multiscreen solutions (odd things you can run into if you have full screen apps on different displays and the computer sleeps and wakes up). It is not a HUGE deal but it is enough where I have a quick script which resets things (turns on mirroring and then turns it off). Should not have to do that. With that said, what I was talking about was being able to get almost any app and put it into full screen mode -- do that and it gets its own workspace. It is a pretty cool feature. -- Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity.
