Kindly, keep all your insanity to yourself, if you do NOT mind. Probably can be used to explain the state of Linux. All the Linux People are fundamentally insane Kooks of one denomination or the other. Perhaps, if the Winter had been colder all of the crazy people on Planet Earth would have died out?

What does Mint have to do with Easter??? Like I said, the other day. Moi installed Linux Mint on his Second computer, in less than a blink of an eye. While the other distros usually choke on their updates, Mint required ONLY a handful of updates, which it processed as if it was absolutely nothing. Why the other distros are too stupid to copy Mint's update technique is to totally beyond Moi!!! The Linux Developers rather than being smart are just a bunch of stupid dumb fucks in my humble opinion, much like Taka is just a very ordinary Ass-Hole. :)

If you cannot handle Linux go back to your Windoze coma Jack! Linux today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the universe trying to build bigger and better idiots like Gohde's Moi. So far, the universe is winning. Linux is a school that needs functioning brain, you can graduate if you handle something like Gentoo or Arch. The others called "distros" are for dumb people or commercial base to make money using the intellectual property of volunteer programmers.

The large majority of the smartest people in the world use the MS Windows distro. A tiny number of smart people use the Apple OSX distro. A tiny number of smart people use a Linux distro.

I would rather say MS Windoze versus Apple OSX is like 50 : 50 at least in the states? If you count Android and the embedded stuff as Linux it's not "tiny" at all, everyone carry a smart phone these days .... The more interesting thing is that the richest people don't waste their precious time with anything other than Apple ... Quite a few corporations incl. Govt agencies use commercial Linux like RedHat for their corporate network servers which used to run Solaris in the past. Even the Great Moi's Website runs on a Linux server! Numerous companies get rich by (re)selling the Linux OS running hardware and maintaining it for the man ... Those who can really handle the Linux internals are quite a minority and using various brain stimulants to do so. Gohde's Moi is a Linux joke....

It counts for ~1% overall. Nearly all web client counters agree. I think the Wikipedia traffic is a good source; everyone visits wiki pages. Dec 2014: Linux: 15.28% Android: 14.06% Difference: 1.22% https://stats.wikimedia.org/wikimedia/squids/SquidReportOperatingSystems.htm >>> If you count Android and the embedded stuff as Linux it's not >>> "tiny" at all, everyone carry a smart phone these days >> >> But Android and embedded DON'T count as Linux. > > Bullshit, Linux is not just a x11 based GUI running on PC hardware, > it is the Kernel! So all these phones and tablets boot up and run just a kernel? Amazing. How do they accomplish that? Also, the discussion - which you started - was about desktop distros. Why are you shifting the goalposts to Android and embedded? > The makers put it everywhere these days since they > are no longer able to develop anything original on their own .... > > You should be rather comparing Gnome to Windows or OSX then. Which is as least as much as "advocates" like shitv, Dumb Willie, RonG, and JED have shown they can do.
