My brother was right where the shooting happened at the time, so this event is somewhat personal to me. The media tells us that the shooter was an "incel" who hated women and the Capitalist system. They're at a loss as to what his motives were. Meanwhile, they actually _have_ his 104-page manifesto. The only ones who bothered to do any kind of research are Rebel News, a right-wing media enterprise, who found out that the shooter was a Communist called Seth Hatfield from Alberta who hated Jews specifically, explaining why he went to an area where a lot of them could be found. Once again, the mainstream, leftist media lied to protect one of their own: a Communist. The moment a leftist of any kind is involved, the shields go up to prevent anyone from making the link between evil and leftism. If the shooter is a Muslim, they're "mentally ill." If the shooter is black, they find a way to blame the cops for racism. If, however, a white man did something as trivial as point out the truth that the darker a person's skin, the more dangerous they are, their mere words are enough for an army of cops to show up and beat him to a pulp. They will be arrested, dragged through the mud in the media and portrayed as the worst thing since Jack the Ripper. However I trend towards daemons and systemd has a good setup for starting them, under conditions, and then watchdogging them. As per another current theme here, note that MX Linux can be installed, and even then selectively started, grub-customizer, as either SysV or systemd. These days I always go for systemd. But, on some extreme thin (Pi-0 or similar), I might go SysV just to keep the code extra tiny. Yes, DO see how it can be potentially abused and the added complication. Kinda OUR job to watch for that happening and act. Winders, you do what Gates TELLS you to do. With Linux we have choices. Again, What YOU Need for a particular thing at the moment.
