Two kernels tested.

$ tail -n 3 uname1.out nohup.out
==> uname1.out <==
Linux lm 6.15.0-rc4 #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Apr 28 16:15:04 PDT 2025 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

==> nohup.out <==
real 407.58
user 19089.39
sys 3805.01

$ tail -n 3 uname.out nohup.out
==> uname.out <==
Linux mintvirt 6.15.0-rc4-next-20250429 #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Apr 29 07:03:54
PDT 2025 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

==> nohup.out <==

user 19122.26
sys 3784.34

I booted Linux 6.15.0-rc4 on bare metal, but had some issues
with hardware: we'd had a power failure, and I have a USB
hub plugged into a "surge protect only" socket on my UPS. Seems it
came back in a weird state, knocking out a lot of my USB devices,
including my keyboard, which was only registering every other
keypress.  Very weird ...and disconcerting.

After getting that squared-away, I got rc4 booted, and tried to
build the NVIDIA drivers. Turns out the 6.15 KBuild script has
changed enough that it doesn't work with the drivers' installation
scripts. After playing with Makefiles for a while, I punted and
went back to 6.14.4.

Linux 6.15.0-rc4-next-20250429, I just built, and it is running in
my Mint virtual machine. That is up and running fine.

Yes, your post certainly does.

Have you considered trying Linux?
