Jesus.. I don't listen to crap like that even for money.

When I was growing up in Tehran the fucking AFRTS was playing these 
cro-magnon stuff 12 hours a day and only half an hour of real music. We 
(me and any friends I had and any sane person) made sure we're at the 
radio at the beginning of that half hour. But the before and after shit 
that dripped in when we weren't exactly ontime still bothered us.

Does anyone know why donkey bray isn't good music?... The answer is 
because it is coming from another _species_.

They're "Magnum Opus" and "Miracles out of Nowhere" are my favorites.

Side note: I went to a Catholic school in Atchison KS (the same school

One of the FM stations has something they call 'Franksgiving' on Friday 
where they mix in numbers from Frank Zappa and Frank Sinatra. Some of the 
Sinatra stuff isn't bad but I can't say the same for Zappa. Thankfully he

That's deliberate. I believe done with a voltage trigger, envelope generator
and a voltage-controlled filter. I like the effect.

I used that setup on my old PAIA home-built synthesizer back when I still
had an electric guitar. Like 45 years ago.

and "Sequential Cascading Gain" aka distortion if I want to annoy the 
neighbors. These days I mostly stick with the acoustics, either 6 or 12

I later took off the module panel, moved the modules to a separate case,
and added a spring-reverb module.

Later, PAIA came out with a digital module that would digitally refresh the
sample-and-hold circuits; could do an arpeggio with it.

Years laters I gave the whole kit to a guy who was a fellow member of the
Augusta GA Atari club, and he used it to control a laser via mirrors.

These days Yoshimi is my "analog" synthesizer. Wrote a 300-page document on how
to use it, though others are carrying on that work.
