Moi received a couple of requests today for a replay about why the Linux Desktop is simply fantastic. NEWSFLASH: Linux Mint works. The rest is up to you. I have recently discovered that Mint works better with digital photography than Windows XP ever did. It is easy to download pictures off of your digital camera. And, I am able to drag pictures directly onto my Yahoo mail. - Ergo, Mint is great for surfing the Web. - You can watch both DVD and online movies with Mint. - You can easily send online emails to your friends and family that are embedded with pictures with Mint. Using Gimp is still a bit of a nightmare. I have yet to figure out how to end up with a jpg formatted photo. Other than that, Linux Mint 17.1 comes with all the programs that you need straight out of the box. Anybody that constantly moans and whines about Linux not working is either a fucking retard or a Liar. Just my opinion, but Moi is ALWAYS spot on.
