Cured it by applying a Linux patch.

That Linux patch that deletes the WinCrap partitions? Excellent choice!

Which based on what's been seen in COLA, will be followed by a "cure" of
installing another different flavor of Linux tomorrow. such as Mint.

...which will be followed by another Linux flavor on Thursday.
...and yet another different one on Friday.
...etc...

It's like getting a sexually-transmitted disease and "curing it" by
getting another. The best solution for AIDS? Herpes.

EXACTLY like MS-DOS, except maybe a little generous with the 20%
figure. :)

He also sees a penis "exposing itself" to him when watching a laptop
commercial on television.

It's similar to how I only see tits whenever I talk to a woman.

Hey, man, an update a day keeps the (PC) doctor away!

Cut Billy some slack. According to some of our M$ shills, he helped
lead the way in GUI desktops. (Though the fact is that M$ lagged
YEARS behind a BUNCH of other companies.)

Yeah, M$ is clearly *so* much better, than *everyone* else... They
*deserve* to have ~90% of the market!

Sheesh.

--
Advocate: Well, some people are so incredibly ignorant that they
think that M$ got to where they are by virtue of the quality and
performance of their products.

"Hadron" responds: They did. They provided an affordable, reliable
GUI desktop to the masses.

Remind me again how a free at the point of delivery operating system
which is claimed to be far superior to anything else has remained at
only 1% on the desktop whilst paid a for OS like Windows beats it hands
down and hardware such as the Mac which is an order of magnitude more
expensive has also beaten it?

I'm glad that you're finally able to admit it.

As for the GUIs, Microsoft was not really behind. Apple might have
released theirs first, but they did so at a time when the technology
wasn't ready to accommodate it. Who sells a computer with a GUI with
only 128kb of RAM? How does having all of those graphics actually help
the user in their productivity at a time when people were quite
comfortable using a single application at a time with multitasking in
general still being a pipe dream? Essentially, Microsoft came after
Apple with Mac OS, Commodore with AmigaOS, Atari with TOS and even
Digital Research with GEM but once they DID release their OS, at least
they made sure that it worked right and actually benefited the users in
some way.

Amiga? Disk-swapping ad nauseum.
Atari? No multi-tasking whatsoever.
Mac? Disk-swapping and a lack of colour.
Digital Research? No manufacturer tied to its software.

Microsoft was right to take its time, regardless of what an imbecile
like you thinks.
