When I've finished I just walk away, I don't even think about turning it off as it does it for me. My 10 year old daughter has an account on it as well. It works fine, it's stable, it's secure and has never had any malware and I don't sit looking over her shoulder to make sure she doesn't visit somewhere she might get malware or a nasty surprise. It's very much like an appliance like a TV, you turn it on, it works, you use it, you turn it off. The Xbox is the same but even better as I just talk to it to turn it off and on and it recognises me when I walk in the room.

I haven't had one since and I'm beginning to believe that the operating system didn't deliver it to me. Oh well. No matter how I look at it, it seems like Windows is the only right operating system for me, but I digress... Windows 10 seemed to give me a slight boost in gaming performance. It's something like 4-5 frames per second, nothing to call home about but it's the kind of thing which makes geeks cream their pants. I also like the way they handle notifications, with a single icon in the bottom left being a sort of hub for all of the warnings you might get. Also, the ability to use virtual desktops, while more or less useless to me, makes the transition from one window to another more interesting at the very least (particularly when tons of them are open and you get lost). The Windows store is also an improvement and it is easy to get any kind of media you want. All in all, it's hard to complain especially since the operating system was free of charge. -- Silver Slimer

Use Linux at the coffee shop. Non issue resolved. Set it to not do updates on metered connections, and set those connections as metered (or something to that effect).
