200GB file in the format I'm using:

"Original estimate 90 days.
Current estimate 3 hours."

"Now getting 3500-3800 results per second, versus previous 500 per sec.
So it should be doable in a couple weeks vs the original 90 day
estimate."

"I'm simultaneously running an attack on a particular hash over the
entire address space (those eight small windows in the vid)."

"The same hash appears in multiple sock posts. I'm mainly interested
in the origin of that particular one.

"Sandman says it's 199.48.241.55, but the string "199.48.241.55" doesn't
hash to 1ab71f9efbdd66785a8ee9e31cf301e5."

I'll see if grep finds yours in out128. Back in a few...

Getting defensive - a sure sign you're having a full-retard meltdown.

? You posted all that to a public newsgroup. Nobody willingly posted
their IP address, but that didn't stop you:

"So, I am creating an md5 lookup table for all IPv4 addresses.
That will take several months to create what will be about
200GB file in the format I'm using"

'several months...'? LMFAO!

You can nymshift but you can't hide.

POSTER POSTERNAME
owl <owl@rooftop.invalid>	owl
"Octavian W. Lagrange" <olagrang@perch.invalid>	owl
thelmasfire <thelmasfire@thelmasfire.invalid>	owl

The stats will out.

And put your newsreader back in your headers - we demand full
accountability.

Yeah, it ended up taking 3 hours. Then 11 hours to sort it.

Seems a bit obsessive to me... but also cool to work to kill the "everyone
is Snit" gag. Would be great if that died.

But, then again, we already know when absolute proof is shown of an
accusation being wrong it does nothing to stop the accusers. They do so not
because they believe their claims but to avoid speaking of Linux and to
attack those they see as their betters.

Yeah. A *real* bunch of duds!

--
Linux vs. Windows is a no-Win situation.

Without open source projects like Apache, Nginx, OpenSSL, OpenSSH and others
(to say nothing of GNU/Linux, which does get some attention), the latest hot
new thing would likely not exist. More fundamentally, the web as we know it
would not exist.

There is a kind of myth that has grown around this lack of attention. It's the
myth of the lone developer creating powerful magic. It's a myth the open-source
community likes to tell itself: that open source software is created by
individuals working on labours of love in their spare time.

However, the myth ignores the fact that much of the money going into open source
software is directly and indirectly (in the form of employing developers who
contribute to open source projects) coming from corporations.

So much for tagging it "hobbyware".

Ludicrous. And unsubstantiated, of course.

Other than the Linux kernel and Android, there are very few open source
projects getting substantial contributions from corporations.

The overwhelming majority of Linux/FOSS code was/is written by unpaid
hobbyists, working part-time, at their leisure, with no budget or
timeline or boss around to manage the unpaid hobbyist.

You're truly an idiot. You're as bad as 7. It amazes me how the Mac and
