80 posts! You have no life. Come outside of mama's basement and
get some fresh air. Donate that Windows Server for Dummies book.
It's not doing you any good anyway lol.

If you think it takes all your time to make 80 short cola posts, you're
an idiot.

It taught me Server <> XP.

You can pound and pound, but some people just cannot be taught.

<quote>
Windows Server 2003 R2 is essentially Windows XP Server, and while
the Windows XP end of life date is April 8, 2014, the end of life for
Server 2003 R2 comes 15 months after that: July 14, 2015. Since they are
roughly the same OS, based on the same kernel, it's likely that anything
you require XP for will work on Server 2003 R2 -- and that will buy you
more than a year to figure things out.

Amazingly, you're trying your best to beat GodHesDumb at The Drooling
Idiot Game. He has a big headstart, but keep trying and By God, you
might get there.

<owl_quotes>
Server 2003 is XP.
The same kernel.  NT 5.2.
</owl_quotes>

Reality?
XP 32-bit   = NT 5.1 = Build 2600
XP 64-bit   = NT 5.2 = Build 3790
Server 2003 = NT 5.2 = Build 3790

https://confidentialfiles.wordpress.com/2010/09/07/a-historic-manuscript-differences-between-windows-xp-and-windows-server-2003/

==========================================================================

"2k3 was designed to have a faster tcp stack than xp, 2k, and the rest.
It's meant to compete with Linux and FreeBSD so it needed some obvious
selling point. It also has per processor runqueues if you run it on a
smp sys."

http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/windows-xp-pro-vs-windows-2003-enterprise.18647/

==========================================================================

"It is not often enough appreciated enough that although Windows XP and
Windows Server 2003 were largely contemporaneous, they were
significantly different at kernel-level."

http://www.geoffchappell.com/studies/windows/km/ntoskrnl/history/index.htm

==========================================================================

The final nail in your coffin:

"Server 2003 is more faster than XP"

http://www.digit.in/forum/software-q/49729-windows-xp-vs-windows-server-2003-a.html

==========================================================================

You/the user CANNOT turn Server 2003 into XP (or vice versa) by
enabling/disabling services or adding/removing utilities.

Now take your beatdown like a "Lt. General USMC (ret)" should.

Some of that stuff isn't just "installed" software - some of it can't be
removed.

Now where's the rest of my post, you snip-n-run "Marine"?

I say owl is more of a wise-owl than a wise-ass on this. The apps and
utilities MS bundles has to be different. Grandma wants to see the DHCP
Server Admin screen as much as a sys-admin wants to run Windows Media
Player.

Here Windows is just the kernel and the two are basically the same OS with
one tweaked for server and the other tweaked for desktops. They change small
stuff like default cache sizes, task scheduler, etc. but the OS itself is
basically the same.

Great business model for MS since server costs way more for basically the
same product.

Maybe it's that pragma that he uses to disable 17 different types of
compiler warnings.

Remember how you didn't know what was wrong with doing that?
