#375620 — What is the best Linux?

FromTyler Baggins <parachutepink@lemail.org>
Date2016-10-08 21:15 +0000
SubjectWhat is the best Linux?
Message-ID<ntbnkq$eei$1@dont-email.me>
I'm new to Linux and am wondering which Linux is the best Linux? There
seems to be so many different flavors of Linux that I am getting
confused as to which one to choose.

There is no _best_ distribution, Snit. The best thing a potential user
can do is find one which matches his or her philosophy the closest. If
you believe that you need the latest versions of all software at all
times, go for a rolling distribution. If stability is your thing,
choose one with periodic releases instead. If you are against software
being closed and proprietary, choose one featured on
http://www.gnu.org that only uses free software. It's really up to you.

Peter Köhlmann claimed: "I have hardly talked about [Snit]" during October,
when I did not post at all.

You lied. Period.

My meaning is that it's obviously a "Snit" sock. Same old crap one of the
"snit juniors" always come up with -- all echoing "Snit's" bullshit.

Why do I have to explain this to you?

Why?
Because when I first joined this group /I/ was accused of being snit as
well.
You guys seem to come unhinged way too easily and when someone disagrees
with your little world you go on the attack.
Kind of strange behavior don't you think?

Hi, "Tyler." You want to download Linux Mint Mate 18, 64-bit -- the one
true Linux distribution. Choice is way overrated.

Non-problem solved. Glad I could be of help.
