I'm new to Linux and am wondering which Linux is the best Linux? There seems to be so many different flavors of Linux that I am getting confused as to which one to choose.

There is no _best_ distribution, Snit. The best thing a potential user can do is find one which matches his or her philosophy the closest. If you believe that you need the latest versions of all software at all times, go for a rolling distribution. If stability is your thing, choose one with periodic releases instead. If you are against software being closed and proprietary, choose one featured on http://www.gnu.org that only uses free software.
