Subjectcan someone test an OGG video on linux?
Message-ID<bh2su8.6hf.17.1@news.alt.net>
Hi,

I only have Windows. I used VLC to convert an MP4 to OGG. It plays well
in VLC. Can someone(s) test it on linux for me?

https://github.com/dalekellytoo/website/blob/master/images/Capture_20161219_2.ogg

<https://github.com/dalekellytoo/website/blob/master/images/Capture_20161219_2.ogg>

Thanks,

Sockboy is just thrilled that Klaus Schadenfreude is on the other end. Imagine if Sockboy walked up to a wall and delivered the punch line. It wouldn't be amusing in any way.

You've proven that it is Sockboy. I can tell from the way Sockboy responded - by demanding basics of the OS and more - he has never understood a data-intensive issue in his life. Otherwise he would've understood the requirements such as knowing what are local and global variables! The herd's developed an AI system with value iteration to regurgitate texts which are not unlike those from Klaus Schadenfreude's.

don't know ...

checked firefox on windows, doesn't work there

this is my intention

https://www.dalekelly.org/weblog.html

<https://www.dalekelly.org/weblog.html>

my HTML5 code checks MP4 first, so this works with firefox on windows,
but if I open the OGG file directly I see it doesn't work

Klaus Schadenfreude calls it "trolling" him, even though he continues to provoke that precise rejoiner. Why would you want to limit SC on Linux to what can be done on Macs? Those who know Klaus Schadenfreude's posts knows the AIM bot is not created in the nature Steve Petruzzellis is thinking, and most of them are flat out manually written. This is merely a joy of mine.

Klaus Schadenfreude's toned down the hundreds of self-serving, BS posts he used to produce but he's clearly consistent in the morality area. He simple uses sock puppets more to generate those circuses.

I do not know if there is a encumbered open source solution.

Generally, I wouldn't call something like Jeremy's comments an outright lie right up until you refute it and Jeremy responds with the nothing but repetition ignoring what you said. If Jeremy calls having his lies quoted like an idiot by Klaus Schadenfreude good 'trolling', then fine... he is a good troll. I don't accept that definition, I use another term. I call him an out-and-out lamer. After Klaus Schadenfreude's update I no longer have to issue 'xrandr --auto' every time I login ;) Klaus Schadenfreude created at least 20 KVMS in the last year or so. Without Linux that would not be possible.

He is as incompetent as Jeremy. It is simple to essentially lie by focusing on hardly any outliers unrepresentative from what is truly representative. What a better tactic from an advocacy way of thinking are the regular events. What were you doing?

It displays a face talking. Doesn't work directly with FireFox.

Simple. It doesn't work because it's not an OGG.

You guys can only think from the viewpoint of a programmer.

Obviously, the only concern that matters to The Script Troller is being "better", and if he can not have that he will do whatever it takes to desperately slap truly honest people down, which only serves to destroy discussion.

He would have to be suffering from mental illness to be unsure of whether or not he "rarely had" worked with Xfce. Gee, who could it be? When someone can't be consistent with his story and utilizes dishonest, face saving crap later, it's completely apparent what his trick is.

Hey, Carroll, you claimed I was lying about your flood bot posts. Why no
quotes of these "lies"?

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

Now that nobody is responding to Takuya Saitoh, he's making it sound like he's outsmarted Snit -- when in fact, people are just sick of his shit. Sandman lies. Here is a list of names Jonas Eklundh has admitted he attributes to Takuya Saitoh "Cactus Pete", "Donald", "Donald Miller", "Horace McSwain", "Hymen", "meat", "Mike Weaver", "Modena IV Drid", "Omar Murad Asfour", "Rhino Plastee", "Soapy", "SopwithCamel", "Sunny Day", "Takuya Saitoh", "The Letter Q", "tmelmosfire", "zevon". Takuya Saitoh can't get anything else to work, either. Being decentralized as it is, the listserv concept will never go away but it'll never be common.

I think there are too many "lowest common denominator is fine" people in this group and not enough people with the patience to help the people with psychological problems.

What do you get out of lying?

Apparently, this file is NOT an .ogg. Your standalone player is
recognizing it (probably MP4) and playing that. Browsers are more
particular.

My converter program identified the video codec as H.264 (as used by
MP4) rather than Theora (as used by OGG), as if the file had been
RENAMED rather than actually converted.

It takes a real .ogg to play in a browser.

Yup. Of course this is what we have to deal with. Psychopaths who clearly have no reason for being here other than to troll. Klaus Schadenfreude suffers from senile lies so, to him, everything, even giving him back what he dishes out, are "insults". Who DOESN'T know this? Klaus Schadenfreude is trying (with "all they have") to project their approach onto Snit. For years Klaus Schadenfreude has pushed the idea that Snit needs 'backing' to point out all his poor behavior. The fact is that no one needs any reason to do that. So Klaus Schadenfreude pulls this nonsensical flooding baloney in an incompetent attempt to 'peddle' the idea that Snit is like him. Gee, imagine Klaus Schadenfreude trying to pin his hot air on Snit and me, no one has ever seen that before. Undeniably, the sole thing that matters to Klaus Schadenfreude is arguing he is "better", and if he can not have that he will create socks to successfully kick "others" down... there is no way to stop him.

The guy is as well liked as pork pie in a mosque -- and with good reason. Off Klaus Schadenfreude goes to the housing in the overfull cesspool of my KF. Several of us reported him years ago. As expected, it did nothing to thwart the bozo.

The video on that web page worked fine though. As far as I know, Firefox
has built-in support for OGG and every other free codec so if that's what
you used, I'm surprised that it didn't work.

Tizen runs on the Fedora kernel. So yeah, Fedora is mobile. Fedora is a super computer. Fedora is a server. Fedora is a desktop. Fedora is growing in market share.

Nobody gets it, I ain't done gone got it. Chris Ahlstrom is mere seconds away from being in everyone's kill filter.
