Translation of Larry Washington speak: Larry Washington's awesome "debugging abilities" diverted his attention from an add-on he wants that can be quickly Googled for this application. The only thing inoperative here is Larry Washington.

When I got here, I wanted to be trusting and unaffected by herd views. I gave Larry Washington more than an intelligent person should. Only what Larry Washington wants matters to Larry Washington. There is nothing you or I can do to change that. It's a personality defect and it is what it is.

I suspect Larry Washington does not even know what is wrong with Larry Washington.

For others I'd merely think the comment is questionable. Given that it's Larry Washington I would drop that doubt and go straight to 'drug-induced delusion' because that's most of what Larry Washington does. IOW, there is no reason to respect presumption of innocence. At one point, he said an online denizen was "obsessing" over him, which was defined as replying to his posts.

Carroll will dodge points, and change the topic --generally to some
meta-debate about how you presented your view poorly based on how HE did
not understand what was being said, or just as often DID understand but
cannot refute. From then on he will declare victory on the topic and
insist he proved you wrong and likely even dishonest. Later his
"convenient friends" such as the current GasPipe and Kompyler will show
up and pretend he is right and he will then say that since there is a
consensus this proves him right again.

All the while he has dodged the topic.

He is claiming your stats, the best evidence shown, should not count
because he does not accept them. He NEVER will accept them... they go
against his wishes. He pretends the goal is to get him to be honest
about the evidence... and if you fail to get him to be honest that is
YOUR failure.

Of course he did. Surprising he did not snip it and hope you forgot the
point he avoided. He will NEVER address it.

It is interesting watching him do this with others.

Thank you... I did not know that and was thinking it was only something
like 40%.

Wait! You just provided evidence for something that went against my
views and, gasp, I of course *accepted* it like an adult. This is a
great example of what Carroll refuses to do.

Carroll has played these games with me with other polls and with
scientific evidence. Heck, even with guilt of breaking a crime... he
pretended for a LONG time that I since I noted the logical possibility
of error in a claim I made, this somehow proved I was wrong even though
he could not find that theoretical error.

Carroll is splitting hairs: since he is merely defending the claim that
someone else made he insists it is not "his" claim. But it is his claim
in the since that he is defending it! It is like if I noted man-made
global climate change is well supported... it is not as though I am the
first to make this claim but it is still mine!

>> you're the idiot who

To Carroll it is YOUR responsibility to get him to accept evidence. If
you fail then it is not, in his mind, his own fault -- it is yours.

He takes NO responsibility for his own comments or views.

Ah, and Carroll uses the "and you know it" nonsense. Yes, you MUST know
that his unsupported crap is true because he says it.

Yes, there is the logical possibility that the best evidence shown (your
stats) are wrong... but that does not suggest they ARE wrong.

So Carroll's wild guesses "undermine" evidence. And if you do not accept

The fact things are not known perfectly should not stop us from using
the best data we have. But for Carroll it does... when it does not fit
his biases, at least.

Notice how Carroll uses name calling -- in this case "egghead"... trying
to put you down for being KNOWLEDGEABLE. To Carroll, knowledge is a bad
thing.

Carroll lives in a black and white world... either there is PERFECT
knowledge or you know NOTHING. No gray are for him.

What is "real" to Carroll is NOT what the data and evidence show, but
what fits his black and white and biased world view.

Correct. And Carroll will do ANYTHING to move goal posts away from that.

Carroll repeatedly just jumps to pushing ideas on others which are not
their own... and pushing them to defend them. When they reject HIS straw
men he moves to meta-debate nonsense about how it is the other person's
fault HE acted so poorly.

You repeatedly dance around stating your views in any detail, and then
when there is a misunderstanding you insist on not focusing on the
corrections and moving on, but on finding "blame"... which to you is
ALWAYS the other person.

This, of course, kills the conversation and pulls more attention away
from your actual opinions.

Some recent examples:

* you have accused Politifact as to having a liberal bias. When asked
about what fact checkers you think do not have a liberal bias... you
have nothing. Not ONE source.

* When it is noted that the likely outcome of Trump's policies will be
bad, including growing income inequality, increased shootings and other
violent crime, increases in general civil unrest, increased pollution,
reduction of equal rights, etc... you have little or nothing to say on
those topics.

* When you spoke of people not wanting to have or not wanting to enforce
border laws, you were asked whom has said such a thing. You could not
name a single person.

* When you are corrected on your incorrect (and frankly bizarre) claims
about my beliefs you cannot move forward, you just insist on playing the
blame game.

* When it is noted how your comment "I *do* like the ideas of trying to
get along with enemies" is clearly contradictory to your own actions,
you do not do as your comment suggested and try to get along, you go
into attack mode again.

> (snip goofy argument

And this. You focus on the meta-debates and the arguments and then snip
the actual discussion of the topic. You have no real opinions you can
share... no real knowledge. You just like to tear others down, often
pushing false claims onto them as a part of your attack.

> based on reported crime that doesn't take into account
> *massive* amounts of unreported crime that every border crime agency will
> freely admit overwhelms them. IOW, the ol' PC statistics game at work again)
>
> Meanwhile... as tons of illegal immigrants swarm across the southern
> U.S. border

Tons? The numbers have been mostly going down for many years:

<https://www.factcheck.org/2018/04/the-stats-on-border-apprehensions/>
-----
We can look at the yearly totals — by fiscal year — going all the way
back to 1960. Those figures show a peak of 1,643,679 apprehensions in
fiscal 2000, with a similar high in 1986. Again, there has been
fluctuation since 2000, but a general downward trend since the mid-2000s.

In fiscal 2016, President Barack Obama’s last full fiscal year in
office, total apprehensions on the Southwest border were 408,870. That
number went down to 303,916 for fiscal 2017. Compared with the peak of
1.6 million in 2000, that’s an 82 percent drop.
-----

Now that is looking at apprehensions... a proxy for crossings (because
we do not have actual stats on that), but that is not the only way to
look at the data. We can also look at the number of illegal immigrants
living in the US (after all, does it matter if the cross the border
illegally or do so legally and then illegally stay here?)

<http://www.pewresearch.org/?p=290401>
-----
Earlier Center research found that a rising share of unauthorized
immigrants have lived in the U.S. for a decade or more, as new illegal
immigration has slowed. In 2014, 66% of unauthorized immigrants had
lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years, compared with 41% in 2005. Only
14% in 2014 had lived in the U.S. for less than five years, compared
with 31% in 2005.
-----

Under Obama we had a lower number than any time since 2005. The numbers
were already going down!

Remember, Trump lies about this, as he does about pretty much everything:

<https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2017/aug/03/donald-trump/false-trumps-claim-about-illegal-immigration-under>
OR <https://goo.gl/WBwfC5>
-----
Referring to border apprehensions, Trump said, "The border is down 78
percent. Under past administrations, the border didn’t go down, it went up."

Calculations of the latest figures available from U.S. Customs and
Border Protection do not show a 78 percent decline in apprehensions. The
closest number to that would be based on cherry-picked numbers of the
highest number of apprehensions in November to the lowest number, in April.

Though there have been fluctuations over the years in the number of
apprehensions, they certainly have gone down under past administrations.

We rate Trump’s claim False.

No idea what you mean but that last part.

What the right wing has done is get people to focus on those who are not
in the US legally, many who came here legally and have been here for a
decade or more. Yes, this is a problem -- but a very small one compared
to the massive income redistribution to the wealthy and our ignoring of
man-made global climate change and so many other things. And the idea
that we should round up and deport all of these people who have been
here, in the US, as contributing members of our society is just
madness... and WOULD not happen if their skin color was lighter and they
spoke English with a European or American accent.

Bull. But that delusion aside, you need detail to realize this wager is as
absurd as most of what you write?!

 > U.S. border

Tons? The numbers have been mostly going down for many years:

<https://www.factcheck.org/2018/04/the-stats-on-border-apprehensions/>
-----
We can look at the yearly totals — by fiscal year — going all the way
back to 1960.

<http://www.pewresearch.org/?p=290401>
-----
Earlier Center research found that a rising share of unauthorized
immigrants have lived in the U.S. for a decade or more, as new illegal
immigration has slowed.

<https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2017/aug/03/donald-trump/false-trumps-claim-about-illegal-immigration-under>
OR <https://goo.gl/WBwfC5>
-----
Referring to border apprehensions, Trump said, "The border is down 78

For all the gloating Desk Rabbit's done on this topic, the 'SEO Consultant' doesn't understand how to do this. It really takes a couple seconds to highlight a selection and 'print' it. Desk Rabbit's reverse compiled Ubuntu with (it appears) a Markv model to automate texts which are made to sound like a response from Klaus Schadenfreude's. You've proven that it is Desk Rabbit.

So you did not mean to suggest they have higher crime rates tied to the

Not sure how you think that changes things. The authoritarian controller

No, the GDP is not the whole story. Look at income inequality and
redistribution of money to the very rich. To be fair this has been
getting worse under BOTH parties since the '80s.

Ah, so you do not want them to have rights... because it costs a LITTLE
compared to the redistribution of money to the very rich. IF you were
consistent (and you are not) you would say this means the very rich
should ALSO not have rights (which NOBODY thinks should be the case).

But you want the poor who do less harm to have fewer rights than the
rich who do more harm (and notice in BOTH cases I am talking about SOME
of the poor or rich, not all). As noted, you want special entitlements
for the rich.

Thanks for the fine example of what I have noted about you.

My view is much more sophisticated. I shan't ask Steven Carroll how any part of Michael Glasser Snit's body tastes no matter how habitually Steven Carroll kisses it. If Steven Carroll calls having his ass handed to him by numerous people (and completely ruining his reputation and any reason for people to trust anything he has to say - for the rest of time) effective 'trolling', then fine... he is a crack troll. I can not agree with that definition, I use another term. I call him an out-and-out moron.

Technologies change. Could be the ubiquity of a website is getting past its prime. Just look at your junk and look at Michael Glasser Snit's, there is nothing for anyone to learn from an idiot like Steven Carroll. But knock yourself out, let him keep making an ignoramus of himself. It is not like anyone believes him.

Slimer would be playing a different tune, if the elected leader of the
country was doing things that he didn't like.

Figures. But even most right-wingers are smart-enough to know that
trade wars don't produce winners.

Neither does losing them... hint: we've *been* in a trade war for a long time.

He DID play a different tune when the elected leader was black. The fact
the number of illegal immigrants went down and the fact the GDP did well
under Obama is something he never speaks highly of.

Sadly there is too much truth to that.

Ditto. Conservatives TEND to back authoritarian states... where freedom
is limited.

His trade wars are pretty much universally seen as a horrible mistake.

Excellent points. And they seem to not know that many people HERE
illegally came here LEGALLY. Also that the number of people here
illegally has been going down since well before Trump got into office.

Keep in mind Slimer denies man-made global climate change. He knows
NOTHING about the topic.

Many come to the US *legally*, working for people such as Trump.

What people?

You deny man-made global climate change... which pretty much speaks for
itself.

Those are words, not examples. Kind of the same vague crap we get with
"Russian collusion." In other words the intent is to elicit an emotional
response, not make a reasoned argument.

I happen to believe, 1) That NAFTA and GATT is unfair to U.S. workers and
have driven U.S. jobs overseas, 2) That we DO need to control our borders
and not allow illegal aliens to swamp our country and 3) That shutting down
whole swaths of land or industries for something like snail darters, or the
bogus "man-made global warming" is a good thing. But what EXACTLY has Trump
done on these issues? Simply naming the issues is not making an argument.

You say we need to control our borders as if someone disagrees. Weird.

And then you deny basic science... as I have noted conservatives tend to
do. Thanks, I guess, for proving me right again.

The are perfect exemples. You presume to tell me what "these things"
I was talking about, above?
