You do realize that the massive floods ending up in multiple groups started out in COLA, right? By the way, taking effort possibly getting informed isn't wasted time. Believing you know more than everyone else and working to convince others that it is true? *That* is a waste. In fact Jesus Christ's lies became more vile. So as might be expected I regret writing software for Jesus Christ. While I am sure his shills liked it, being nice to him made things worse. Jesus Christ is a nitwit - most people have plonked his socks. What he really wants is a bot that keeps switching names, then the posts would have a chance at being nearly as bothersome as he is.

Really, what lie? That is the problem with millennials and American pupils don't have a clue, people from older generations (~50 yo) SHOULD know better than to fall for liberalism.

And in response Sandman showed Carroll's automated posting is FAR better
than is Sandman's. They seem to be in a spat right now... I wonder if it
is over this issue. Are they competing and unable to decide whom has "won"?

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.

They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.

What did DFS have to say about this long list of "convenient friends" who popped up at just the right moment? Most of the time he would try to lead the advocates to trust they're "honest and honorable" posters who just happened to have great timing. Yeah, right!

Prescott Computer Guy can create a virtual machine. Makes DFS cry because he can not. Why do you keep repeating yourself?

All my damned unquotable lies. Unlike yours which are easy to quote:

nice feature. It claims that they require "too much configuration".

You see, they require that you decide how to organize things on the

In other words, in order to enjoy the benefit of a tool, you must

If you tried to recreate the Php based stuff he's shown you'd find it's far
more complicated than your bot (not even considering that, at the least, it
uses Php, MySQL, Javascript, HTML and CSS).

Which means you're talking about term definitions that have nothing to
do with how more or less complicated the programming is than yours

What I am noting is there is NO DOUBT he is a better coder than I am...
but look at the results of his auto-posting... pretty crappy. I mean,
really, plopping numbers in front of lines, posting arbitrary
accusations, and then a table to track his own bot actions. So what?

If he could get -- or has -- his bot reading lines and then he could get
it to response to keywords as mine does. THAT might be sorta cool, esp.
for a cesspool like COLA. Still, would be good for him to use a separate
account (and let people know) so it would be easily blocked.

Then it made no sense for you to attack him based on his abilities as
"a programmer".

> but look at the results of his auto-posting... pretty crappy.

In your opinion, as based on your definitions of the terms used, which
have nothing to do with the programming concepts behind it.

I am noting his output for his bot is horrid... and the fact he is a
programmer suggests it should be better. If he was NOT a programmer then
it would be more understandable.

Again: the idea is since he is a programmer and is knowledgeable about
this type of stuff I am surprised he has not been able to improve it.
Not putting his programming skills down at all.

That's how I read it:
"Come on, you are a programmer... why can't you do better than I did?"

If a guy wrote a chatroom program that changed foul language prior
to outputting, should a user complain about the programmer's ability
because he doesn't like the fact word meanings are no longer there,
despite the fact that the output is exactly what the programmer had
intended? That the censorship was accomplished with programming
has nothing to do with the quality of it; but that's what you're arguing
based on your opinion that the output is "horrid", due solely to word
meanings not being what you'd like to see. You're conflating things.

What part wasn't clear? You have an *opinion* on his output. That doesn't
automatically call into question his programming ability, which is what you've
done. If there's a "game" here, you're the one playing it as you pretend that
your *opinion* of his output carries any weight. the irony of your game is it's
based on an *opinion* on you hold.

Hence why I never pulled into question his programming ability.

Again: your games are amusing up to a point. You are reaching that point. :)

Seriously, you were just acting in a very reasonable way in another
thread... I commend you for that and thank you -- and thank you -- for
that and your assistance.

Try not to slide into your games of defining what OTHERS meant. You
misunderstood what I said. I explained. You are still insisting your
view of what I meant must be right. It is absurd.

I think it is safe to say his bot sucks. Even yours is better.

Of course, his goal is not to have it sound reasonable... it is just to
spew arbitrary insults. So in that it is working as he intends. Whatever.

Of course you did:
"Come on, you are a programmer... why can't you do better than I did?" - Snit

It's a "game" to claim otherwise

> Try not to slide into your games of defining what OTHERS meant.

Try not to slide into your games of defining reality based on only
your own *opinion*.

> You misunderstood what I said.

I quoted what you said, more than once, and I stated how I read it. You
*opine* otherwise... "others" will *opine* based on how they read it.
That's how this all works. You can't change people's opinions by
stating the same thing over and over.

Again, that is your *opinion*, which, again, has nothing to do with the
programming behind it.
