Yours are fine, but one thing you can do to improve them is use a mouse pointer that stands out more and shows when you are clicking. How did you get *so* narcissistic you believe everything is about you? That's a fully working demo of what I built for a client, using MySQL, PHP and JavaScript. When you hit 'Preview' it copies the inline styled template into the clipboard and shows you the template, which can be edited as a one-off. Dependent on certain conditions, the sections will change (as shown by the shipping section in the screencast). There is even a 'Handling' facility, which let the user see how much money he was losing on packing material. You claim to be the database guru, let's see you put up a version minus the shipping/handling routines. You can even forego styling, just draw products into an HTML doc and make them copy and 'Preview' when that button is clicked. Should be easy for a 'web and database pro' like you, right? ;) > ... > >> If you really want to talk about an area of tech I *am* into we can talk > >> about screencasting. :) > > > > IMO simple apps used to record tech don't lend themselves to much > > discussion but if you feel you can drum something up, go for it. > > Yours are fine, I have years of doing A/V work, I'm well aware the stuff I link to from COLA is total amateur level; that said, it serves its purpose. Most of what I've pointed to in COLA is CLI based so mouse clicking isn't an issue. I've actually thought about buying a Screenflow license as I do occasionally make screencasts for "others". > That makes > a BIG difference in how people view and how much they understand. I'm aware of why doing it makes sense (I've watched tons of screencasts) but I'm not going to drag them into FCP to add things that aren't needed for these COLA screencasts. I didn't even do that prior to Apple's recent change to better compress QT player screencasts. I even own Compressor, which I also don't generally use for stuff linked to from COLA.

But, sure, as Carroll brags about his being able to do more with his web skills than I can (his entire focus) it is very reasonable to ask what, other than trolling and flooding, he has even done. The answer: NOTHING. Not a single thing. He has NOTHING to show for his years of work to "best" me and troll me. -- Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. I could point to anything and claim I did it... if examples are posted directly to COLA it's a pretty good indicator of one's capabilities. Of course, you being so "technical" an' all, have trouble with the obvious. Why don't you talk about all this "technical" stuff you're so much better at than COLA posters? We all know you have mad skills, Steve. Michael hates it when you (unintentionally) lord it over him; it hurts his _delicate_ ego, and it goes against his philosophy. As a proud feminist, full of "feminine energy", he probably thinks men are just a broken version of women. Apple products are a fashion statement; Linux users are "ugly". He probably wants his wife to be the bread winner, so he can stay at home and babysit _you_ and his students/kids. He won't "man up" for you, and you won't "child down" for him. Once Marxist Feminism takes hold, we'll all be equal ( he thinks ), no "evil" billionairs _lording_ it over us ( like you do ).

See me doing it to anyone other than Feeb, who is, in my opinion, another fat-headed bully type? I'm not even doing it to Snit at this point, I'm just trying to get him to focus on stuff other than trolling, which is designed so he can play victim. Think back, who, in COLA, has he *not* claimed has 'attacked' him (again, same as in CSMA)?

Yeah, all that massive bragging about my scripting / programming skills. Wait. I am the one who notes I have "crappy" skills there, but then YOU insist I can do the flooding YOU do, *and* do so through your Gmail account because I hacked it in a way Google and "several federal agencies" could not stop. LOL! Your attempts to be my spokesperson failed again. OK. They got my attention... your real goal. So in THAT way they succeeded... but you told insane lies to get it. >> Michael hates it when you (unintentionally) lord it over him; > > He's not wrong about times that I have purposefully done so > and I've stated why (but I wasn't doing it here). You have spent over a decade of your life with NOTHING to show other than a failed marriage (which you blamed on me) and your trolling and flooding. NOTHING to show. How pathetic. >> it hurts his _delicate_ ego, and it goes against his philosophy. >> >> As a proud feminist, full of "feminine energy", >> he probably thinks men are just a broken version of women. > > Time to shuffle off to MGTOWville? > >> Apple products are a fashion statement; Linux users are "ugly". >> >> He probably wants his wife to be the bread winner, >> so he can stay at home and babysit _you_ and his students/kids. >> >> He won't "man up" for you, and you won't "child down" for him. >> >> Once Marxist Feminism takes hold, we'll all be equal ( he thinks ), >> no "evil" billionairs _lording_ it over us ( like you do ). > > See me doing it to anyone other than Feeb, who is, in my opinion, > another fat-headed bully type? Gee, you now project your victim mentality onto me... yet I do not blame you for ANYTHING in my marriage, nor have I spent a decade-plus of my life focused on you and trying to "best" you. You have some decent skills, Carroll... now do something of value with them. Trolling and flooding Usenet is NOT giving you the type value I mean! -- Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel somehow superior by attacking the messenger. They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again. <https://youtu.be/H4NW-Cqh308>
