The goal is to be able to view only the tables on a large screen... and also, to easily copy and paste only the tables into a spreadsheet (while retaining the link and styles, depending on what you copy it in to, works on Apple's Numbers). There is no dispute that as soon as any exonerated 'plonkee' does something to hurt the little wimp's feelings that they will be blocked again. For most I'd say it is doubtful. However, given that it's Snit Glasser I would skip that doubt and go straight to 'trolling' because that's most of what Snit Glasser does. Just call it a lie and watch him beg you to prove it. badperson is a fool; people have kill filtered his puppets/shills. What he really needs is a script that keeps switching names, then bot posts have a chance at being half as replied to as he is. Pay for a background investigation on Snit Glasser and you will discover that he was in jail last year. Not surprising to anyone. The sites do not go into that degree of specificity and legal lists in his area are private unless subpoenaed. Your system will crawl while downloading the mass of flood posts. Why does Melzzzzz focus on Jesus's self-esteem issues so much?
This forum is a puss-filled cyst.
It's a decades long conflict, and Melzzzzz is simultaneously unable to stop his trolling remarks, while posting with socks with a myriad of tells.

What do you do with this type work other than to flood Usenet and blame

Even cooler is now you can do it, too. The one I gave Relf is probably
not good for you to look at, too big a jump from the 3 lines previous.
Try this one, it'll get the first column of every table and it's similar to
the previous stuff:
let result = [];
(function getData() {
let allTables = Array.from(document.querySelectorAll('table'));
allTables.map((table,i) => {
let tableRows = Array.from(allTables[i].querySelectorAll('tr'));
let rowText = tableRows.map(row => row.firstElementChild.innerText);
return (i > 0 ? result.push(rowText) : console.log('First Column'))
});
})();

The better question is:
Where can you use it (and things similar to it)?

Correct. This, of course, does not mean I do diddly with JavaScript and
DOM... and, in fact, I do not. I know almost nothing about what you are
doing nor the details of how you flood Usenet. But, hey, that will not
stop you from blaming me for your own acts.

I do not doubt you goals are all about my business but be more specific.
And why not actually DO something with your skills? You CLEARLY know
more about this than I do. As you note, I do at least SOME business
while lacking your knowledge in this area. You have spend YEARS learning
to do this stuff ONLY to show off that you can do things I cannot and to
flood Usenet and play victim as you accuse me.
Do you not understand how pathetic that is? Why not actually do
SOMETHING? Get a real client or do some work for someone. Stop living
your life around your obsession with me.

Right now: nowhere. And right now you use it ONLY to troll Usenet and
play victim. That is utterly pathetic.

What do you think the lightbox on your portfolio uses (which, by the way,
doesn't work without a plugin)? <https://imgur.com/a/ro7ZAgH>

So someone hacked your site and added 443 (global) JS
objects to it? <https://imgur.com/a/abBJVrn>
But let's not overlook the obvious, if you build sites for "others",
might that not require some JavaScript?

I just showed an example of an IIFE, something that could rectify
the issue you have with all those globals.

Right now, on your site... to fix those globals.
Here's a quick example of the table code I've been showing that uses
an IIFE. This one returns the 3 table columns from that page into objects.
It's not portable because it's brittle in the sense that it doesn't dynamically
get all columns, just the 3 from that comparison page:
let result = (function(index) {
return () => {
let allTables = [], tableRows = [], arrayOfObjects = [], td, obj;
allTables = Array.from(document.querySelectorAll('table'));
tableRows = Array.from(allTables[index].querySelectorAll('tr'));
arrayOfObjects = [];
td = tableRows.map(row => {
obj = {
col1: row.firstElementChild.innerText,
col2: row.firstElementChild.nextElementSibling.innerText,
col3: row.lastElementChild.innerText};
arrayOfObjects.push(obj);
});
return arrayOfObjects;
}
})(1);

You have, in this area, FAR more skills than I do. You would think YOU
would want to do more with them than do things tied to your obsession
over me. But you do not. Whenever the topic comes up you change the
topic to the one and only thing EVERY thought of yours comes back to: me.
Is there ANYTHING you do in your life which is not tied to your anger
over your divorce and your insane blaming of me for it? Anything at all?
I bet you cannot honestly name a single thing.

Nope.

I do very little JavaScript and what I do is either pre-made or only
slightly edited. But the fact you think I do more with it is the sole
reason you focused on it... to one-up me.
And you did. You know a lot more about JavaScript and DOM than I do.
Congrats! But what do you do with it other than play victim, troll me,
and flood Usenet?

Other than what you can glean from them, what skills "others" have
should be irrelevant to you. Focus on the tech, not the people.

Then your statement is obviously not a "fact".

Even if you merely add a 3rd party script, *you*, as the developer,
are still 'doing' things with "JavaScript and DOM".

LOL! You're having your 'crystal ball' delusion again?

You confuse yourself with your site and you're asking me to "See"
some alleged topic change? Focus on the tech, not the people.

So... in your mind, you *are* your site? Actually, here, I did so to
provide a better example of how one might want to grab all the
columns in that table and turn them into DOM objects. Examples
shown to you, prior to this one, were about grabbing one column,
which isn't all that useful... but did make it easier to understand.
You need to get your paranoia checked, Snit. Seriously.

Focus on the tech, not the people. The tech being discussed is the tech running YOUR bot. You keep changing the topic to me, to my site, to what I do for my clients, etc. So, sure, let us get back to the topic: how you run your bot. As I said: I do not want to see the full code, but I am curious how yu get it to post (you have shown that) and how you get it to repeat (that I get... a loop, duh) and how you get it to not trip Google's spam filters (I have no clue on that one... maybe the "mad lib" approach helps?). I also want to know how you come up with the text. All focusing on the tech... the tech we see as you flood COLA and other groups. But you WILL change the topic back to me. You ALWAYS change the topic to me. You obsess over me. It is 100% predictable. ... -- Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. Even the compacted one I gave to Relf makes it very clear it's about getting multiple tables... for anyone who can read the word "Tables". The first line alone was a pretty big clue: let allTables =[], result, body, table, tbody;

I doubt you're handling that correctly, when converting it to a .CSV file.

I'm not doing any conversion that I've shown in any of these posts related to that LO comparison page.

I was just trying to get Snit interested in something other than what he usually does by showing him a few things that he, as a web dev, would presumably be interested in (you saw how that went). I should also add that those examples had nothing to do with "nested" tables. A more usable example would be the code used at the bottom of this: Message-ID: <397f83ce-a75f-40af-8a1f-7bab08369e86@googlegroups.com> But like I said, even that code is brittle as it doesn't get cols dynamically. Here's a screencast of a React project I was working on that does (and it uses .csv files): <https://streamable.com/w4eh1> Using stuff like this (you don't need React) you can grab data from a page or multiple pages and locally display only what you want.
