chrisv serves no useful purpose as a Linux advocate.
He doesn't use Linux.
Doesn't post from Linux.
His family, by his own admission, uses Windows so he can't even
convince them to use Linux.
The few times he has posted something other than vulgarities or
accusations of people being trolls, he has demonstrated a poor
understanding of Linux and technical subjects in general. Even the
resident stationary "engineer" William Poaster has managed to find
someone to install Linux for him so he seemingly is able to post from
Linux.

The best thing people like chrisv, William Poaster, 7 and Ahlstrom can
do for Linux is to stop trying to advicate Linux because at best they
are making themselves look foolish and at worst they are confirming
the various Linux user stereotypes.

Kohlmann, Marek, Desk Rabbit and some others are decent Linux
advocates and they have proven that they for the most part know enough
about Linux to properly advocate it even if I don't always agree with
them. 
DFS, who isn't even a Linux advocate, knows more about Linux than the
likes of chrisv, Poaster and Ahlstrom do. That's why they run away
when he challenges them.

The truth is the state of Linux advocacy has hit a new low.

If you're talking about this one, that doesn't prove anything. He
could be posting using pan for Windows.
