His "posts" show up as attachments for me. It's a pain to even read
them, much less reply, which is why I rarely do.

"tin" doesn't have 1% of the features Mozilla Thunderbird has.
You can write JavaScript extensions for Thunderbird, for one thing,
and you can write CSS rules for both the GUI and the posts/emails.

My newsreader, Jeff-Relf.Me/X.ZIP, is Visual C++ that I wrote myself;
nothing could be more custom, I assure you.

You're welcome to dump my posts, of course,
as I dump yours (when you're not replying to me).

IOW, shit that doesn't belong on usenet.

No doubt that is why it is broken.

I think I saw your source code years ago. Isn't yours the one with the
obfuscated, macro-filled spaghetti code? If that's it, then I'm not
surprised that it is unable to make a proper post.

"Dumping" your posts would be redundant.

Are his posts all in HTML or something? I don't see why people insist on
colours and embedded images in a forum which is known to be a discussion
group. There's a reason some of us come here and it's to ESCAPE the
graphical garbage every web-based forum insists on providing.

I'm here for the topic and the uncensored show. Most of us would've
been banned long ago from any moderated web forum.

I tried to make one innocuous post to linuxadvocates.com and he banned
me (by innocuous I mean I was mocking Dietrich Schmucktz for begging).

Absolutely. I'm here for the exact same reasons.

I hate all web forums. I once told some jack-ass on jeeppatriot.com that
he was completely wrong about something in American politics and they
banned me. In other words, my right-wing opinion is enough to be
considered a troll there. Fuck 'em.

eternal-september.org isn't as bad as you claim and its price is just
right (free).

Same here. I have to wonder whether he is posting in other groups rather
than comp.os.linux.advocacy. I kind of miss Jeff Relf's posts, they're
as bizarre and cryptic as most of what David Bowie released.

I like eternal-september myself. If the cost of using it is being
deprived of Jeff Relf's posts, I'll live.
