Surprisingly Serbia has clean water, so one can drink from cities water
supply...
We are agricultural country as well.
Problem is that utilization of land is very bad so we can barely feed
ourselves , not half of Europe as potential is....

I visited NJ once when I had to conduct a seminar for Intuit.
I was in some place called Secaucus NJ and the entire town smelled like
sulfur gas. 
They had sumps along the interstate filled with chemicals of various
different shades of green.
I never revisited.
